Trent wasn't at it all game. It was Konate who switched off for the goal though, he should have gone with Benzema after the VVD tackle instead of watching him from outside the box.

The only way I’d see Trent working in midfield is on the right of a 4-4-2 with a solid guy behind him

He has zero pace and can't beat a man 1 v 1 though. He would have to evolve into a defensive mid with excellent positional awareness.

There were times in the first half where he was in the midfield and Konate was the cover.
