sixth is a disappointment, but not the end of the world.
what boils my piss is the lack of fight and effort from this team that rodgers has assembled. they dont give much of a ****, and they are mostly his players.
can he motivate and get more out of them. the way we have rolled over lately suggests that they dont give a ****. it just seems all too pally, no one is getting bollocked. the manager isnt booting enough bottles of water to show he is arsed and that then transfers to the players.

hopefully he will be gone. the weepy eyes are very touching, but not arsed. its a results driven game, he is well enough paid so he can afford to splash £7 on a nice tshirt with his face on it.

fsg have used him to be their yes man. shed the dead wood and slash the wages. done. buy to a budget, done. the extra windfall of the suarez money, spunked away. fsg appointed brendan but went back on the director of football model they wanted as rodgers sold himself so well. then they introduce a transfer committee by stealth, adding some control and balance to rodgers spending. that went well...

the owners might yet still stick with him as they must fancy him as a coach. its a shame that just playing talented young kids seems to make someone look like a genius! the few young lads who have looked good would be at that level or better wherever they played and whoever they played for.
if brendan is such a good coach then why was he so keen to sell henderson and buy dempsey.
apart from cout, studge, sterling, sakho and possibly henderson [who might all have done well without the 'special attention of brendan'] the rest of the squad has looked rubbish.
great coach. really has not improved moreno, manquillo, markovic, ibe [did more growing as a player under mclaren], balotelli, lovren, borini, allen.

if the owners stick with him i really doubt the young players brought in will develop and step up to their potential, and the more experienced players just dont seem arsed or driven by brendan and his coaching team.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

This is where Carragher would have been perfect. He should have been rodgers assistant manager.

During Rodgers tenure as manager the facts are we have replaced established players such as Kuyt, Bellemy, maxi, Agger, Reina and others with mentally weak average players nowhere near good enough for LFC but as long as they were on low wages that seemed to be the priority.

It has been obvious from day one that our midfield needed sorting out and a quality DM need ed to be brought in but for 3 seasons this has not happened and when we signed one in Can he plays him at RB or in defence.

As for the defence or lack of it to be more precise this is another area Rodgers has failed on. That performance yesterday was the worst I have ever witnessed and I remember the dark days of Souness with a team of Paul Stuart and Dean Saunders.

That yesterday was utterly shameful from top to bottom. I've been to all the CL home games this season which were a total embarrassment and up until yesterday had never seen us play so bad . Having spend over £100m last summer on sub standard players the whole setup from scouts, committee and manager need replacing.

As for using Sturridge been injured as mitigation for Rodgers I'm not convinced. Rodgers and the committee bought two strikers in in the summer for a combined fee of £20m and had Borini back. The club knew we needed to buy a reliable striker but chose to buy a player with more Baggage than a Paris fashion show.

Last year was a complete freak of nature as we has the best striker in world football who flourished and allowed other players to feed off his desire. This season we'be had Balloteli who shows about as much desire and fight as a dog turd.

Intact had it not been for Suarez last year Rodgers could well have been sacked last summer.

Iirc Rodgers did say "Judge me at year 3" well we have and its time to go. Thanks for the effort but it's not good enough for LFC.

Beaten easily in the FA cup semi against moderate opposition, beaten easily in our last home game against moderate opposition in what should have been a celebration, then thrashed in our last game of the season by another moderate team with nothing in particular to play for.

The first game maybe could be seen as a bad Day at black rock, the second game as intolerable capitulation by a lacklustre team but the third game was just plain incompetence all round.

Something needs to change, and soon.

I'd prefer it to be Rafa, not only does he have the credentials to succeed but he would also love to be here.

          Would FSG employ him?

Why not, he's done well everywhere he's been, especially ten years ago.

Given Real or us I think he'd choose us. Unfinished business and all that.

We had the big earners whilst consistently in the CL i'm guessing? I didn't realise our recent finishes have been so horrible, but 2nd last year was a clear anomaly.

                      RODGERS GOING NOWHERE

It is our understanding that the Liverpool owners have no intention of sacking manager Brendan Rodgers.

Club sources have told us that while there will be a robust and thorough review, but changing manager is not on the agenda. This review is expected to be in June.

We understand Liverpool have not spoken to, sounded out, or considered any replacement manager.

I've supported LFC all my life . It's in my blood but if the club continues on the path of no ambition I can see a lot of fans turning their back on it. It's not the club I grew up supporting and I've been there through thick and thin through the good times and the bad. But there is a big difference between not being good enough and not wanting to be.

The club just reeks of mediocrity and keeping Rodgers is a prime example of this.

Why should people fork out their hard earned money to be served up with gutless displays?

He's probably been promised the Munich job next year. If as it seems Rafa is joining Madrid, Ancelotti and Klopp are going on a sabbatical then I seriously wouldn't consider sacking Rodgers and replacing him with either AVB or De Boer

Double whammy! If Rodgers isn't going then it suggests that there will be changes to the current structure. 6th just isn't acceptable and the board simply can't 'do nothing'

I really can't feel any optimism for next season at the moment.
