lovely footballer but slow and an average defender. We need pace and power in the fullback positions. Will do well over there as it's pretty simple vs most of the teams outside of Barca and Athleti, he does strike me as a wee bit arrogant so will fit in well at Madrid. Virgil is the only one I'd be devastated if he doesn't sign. Even with Mos numbers, we can't offer 400k or whatever pw for a 33 year old.

Yep VvD is the most important player for us and that's no discredit to Mo. TAA isn't even in the same discussion, though good luck to him.

Real have dropped points in 10 out of 28 games in the league there this season.

We have dropped points in 8 out of 29 games in the league.

Not so sure it is all that simple vs teams there or any more "simple" than it has been for us this season.

Alot of good wide players scattered all over La Liga..... in an attacking sense the Madrid front three will benefit greatly, but if Rodrygo is palying infront of him that would be trouble defensively for them.

Also agreed on where we go from here. Very excited about the possibilities of pace, power and dribbling ability.

Starting to pop up online that TAA has formally agreed to terms with Real.

€260k a week for five years plus a €45m signing on bonus for him and a €5m fee for his agent (brother) are the rumoured magic numbers.

Some talk that the €260k part of it is after tax, but that might be rumours being added to rumours

Nice work if you can get it though.

Just want to put it out there for Micky Edwards that I would be willing to sign for 35k a week before taxes and I do not even want a signing on fee.

Just think how proud all you guys would be watching games next season and being able to tell your wank socks that the guy on the ground receiving oxygen after trying to chase a winger once too often is the gob****e that used to post on here.

so much quality out there, we have to trust that the lads we have in recruitment can find us some gems.

Yes he could have. But the club should have tried. Perhaps they did.

I wonder has the perfect storm allowed this to happen though. When Jurgen announced he was leaving, then it was typical for trents team to say how they wanted to see who the new manager would be. Then when we signed nobody in the summer, it'd have been typical to say "we want to see how slot gets on and how ambitious lfc are"

Lfc are to blame for a lot of this but don't sell yourself as this lifer lfc guy that is living the dream either

Hoping we get them next season and Bradley leaves one on him ha

but your final sentence is also spot on.

If he ever pulls on a red shirt again at Anfield I think he'll get some stick and it wouldn't surprise me if the Kop modify the scouser in the team for Curtis while Trent is playing. Backlash incoming, I hope he is ready...
We are here for a good time not a long time....

I wonder is there a chance that his injury gets worse and he ends up being out for the season?

Hope not though. Quite like the idea of him coming back and playing his heart out for the remaining games.

Whilst he has not played at the level of Salah or VVD this season, imo, he has still played a part in the team being where it is in the league and if we are to win the title, the romantic in me wants the squad that started the season to finish the season as a unit and not with some singled out for leaving.

I just don't see FSG spending the money required to replace all 3 if that's where it all ends up. The magic formula we were told when they came in was to buy the very best young players available and to sell them at their peak for big money and repeat. This is what puzzles me.

Rumours about Diaz and Nunez, but neither will merit giant fee's and if we do sell them, they'll need replacing too anyway. Renewing VVD and Mo's contracts (if we do) are also only postponing the inevitable, and they too will not generate big money in a year or two's time.

Lets hope they've identified some bargain targets, massive summer ahead.

I like Trent, seems like a decent lad so its a shame that one of the biggest names in the game has decided to leave us.
