I find keeping a player in because "he's a good organiser" a weak reason to keep someone in the side, you'd hope in training players would be able to organise themselves as part of a unit through training and consistenly working together.

If we have better options at the back in terms of defending he should be replaced for that individual, the thing is do we currently have someone to come in and do a better job ? I like to think we have but not 100% sure if we do.
I have to disagree with that one, an organized unit of lesser individuals is always far better than an unorganized bunch of great individuals.

You need a good organizer both in defense and in midfield, otherwise it won't fucntion. It's essential when playing offside and it's especially important when covering zones instead of man marking where the physical attributes are your main characteristics needed. Carragher is still our best player to keep the lines IMO.

Agger is doing quite well organizing the defense with Denmark, and I'm sure he could take over quite soon.

And on the topic as such, I did not see the game against stoke only the highlights, and yes Carra came in to late in that tackle but all defenders at times end up conceeding a penalty. However Carra where also a part of our great defensive display in the other games of the season, and bar 1 late error against Bolton have helped keep us solid. There is a reason why he is still one of the first names on the team sheet, and it's because he is still a very good PL defender.

I think we enough experience in our defence to cope without Carra.

Seeing as Kowatez's dad is British can we not just call him Coats

That's too British, Co-ha-tez sounds better.

With all this talk of Carra needing to be phased out/play less in which i completely agree & Coates replacing him, what about Martin Kelly at CB?

If Johnson is back to full fitness seems he'll pop straight into RB (personally i'd rather Kelly) but surely Kelly is too good to leave out of the defence? Kelly looks more than comfortable at RB, i wonder where Kenny sees Kelly playing?

IMHO Kelly for such a big lad, maybe needs to work on his aerial game, but he has all the attributes to be a top class defender. Will the future be:

            Kelly - Coates - Agger - Enrique?

Suppose it all depends on Agger's fitness, as IMO he is the only CB when fully fit is a banker starter. I just feel that Martin kelly in particular has come on leaps and bounds, surely it's vital to his progression that he plays regular football for LFC?

There is also the injury issues with Kelly and for me currently playing him at RB suits the side best.

But fully fit I'd expect Kelly - Coates - Agger - Enrique to be the back 4 we'd be looking to get playing together once all fit/settled in

                We are better without him.

We won the League 18 times without him in the squad. How many have we done it with him here??

True, but don't ever forget his heroic efforts in Istanbul please. Without him we would not have old big ears for keeps.

I love the guy and think we are jumping the gun a bit here. I think he still has another season or 2 at the very highest level in him.

                    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

I can't see us ever winning a title with any of the players from the season we came 2nd still around with exception to Pepe.

                          I disagree Tee.

We should be phasing him out starting now. He's mobility and agility was never the greatest but imo now is really becoming an issue.

That was exactly the reason why he got caught out and Walters got the better position on him and Carra had to scramble to correct the previous error and conceded a sloppy penalty (see attached video)

Very good player few years back but we need better in CB spot and his errors are becoming to pile up.

with that argument in hand we would be better without Gerrard, Pepe, Suarez, basically all our players... what's your point?
