Not sure what can be argued

    Seems Rodgers really rates Salah

Nothing to argue about, I do think it's clear Rodgers rates him and he said it's up other people to negotiate and we have been scouting him for months. I can't help it, I always find myself looking at our fabled MD. Isn't it too much for him to be bringing this and that commercial partner to the table and also handle deals for players?

My worry is Rodgers does not even consider dm a problem, and we have no one lined up

Has Rodgers stated that he's not interested in a midfielder? What about the chat linking us with Romulo?

He probably does, but to be fair to him, we've had Gerrard, Allen and Lucas all involved with some kind of injury during the season. All in one area.
            Are we winning?

Goal scoring midfielders are equally important and we seriously lack that.

I disagree, We are scoring plenty. There is no room in the team for another attacking player, but we are desperate to shore up our defence. That's if more likely to cost us top four than an attacking midfielder. Not sure we can afford one who will guarantee goals.

Gerrard and Sterling should be able to grab 5-10 goals each. Coutinho should be getting more, but he seems to be lacking composure, and form at the moment.

I tend to agree with Matt to a large degree. In the tight games we lack options to nick goals. Fergusson always seemed to build teams by getting enough goal scorers in the squad/team first then worrying about the rest. You only have to look at where the teams above us are strongest to see that firepower is a priority when team building these days.

On the other hand I think if we had better shape in midfield we would control games more and improve the effectiveness of the options we have. Need both types of player to improve the squad IMO, depends on the players available and the deals that can be done as to the priority.

                    Worrying times ahead:
Henry didn't want to spend 4 million extra on Salah. However had Brendan rodgers not ****ed 11 million on Borini, 7 million on Aspas and 7 million on Illiori we could have had Salah. And what is the use of Alberto dear Brendan? Perhaps in 2 years time illiori will be great but protect the present first in order to think of the future. It's common sense that if we'll not be in the Champions League next year, Suarez will leave!!! The FSG are not Abramovich and the Man.City owners.

There's a risk with every transfer. Some work (e.g. Sturridge), some don't. Rogers has been in charge for less than two seasons and he's doing well (without having the financial clout of other big club managers).
                        Another MASSIVE game

Overall I think Brendan's transfer dealings (and the committee's) have been relatively poor. However, he's done well at getting the best he can out of what he's got which has mitigated it quite a lot.

I'm really pleased with this season, we are clearly better than last year and are for the most part excellent fun to watch. There are ups and downs of course but there are a lot more ups than there has been since 2009.

More important than that we have sensible owners who seem to want to build a sustainable, successful club and the Manager is a good young coach, with media skills that have changed opinions about Liverpool FC and keeps us in the sports news for the right reasons.

Added to that he is building a young side that should be able to grow together, it has already shown that they can win without Gerrard or Suarez.

Patience isn't something that football fans are renowned for but having waited 24 years I can wait for a dynasty and not need a quick fix that would end up setting the club back to H&G times or worse.

And I take it you know the wages involved here,
along with the agent fees + any extras??
