Looking at yesterday I would be very surprised if things click

Too many square pegs in round holes and lack of fluidity and understanding all over the pitch

Trying to big up a 1-1 draw at home to Norwich City is not acceptable to me any longer. It's a poor result and given our away fixture list coming up, things are only going to get worse.

We are 13th in the table and have only managed to score 4 goals all season, whilst conceding 7 in the last 3 games (or 8 in 4 if you include Bordeaux). This is in spite of having spent over £60 million recruiting 2 attacking players (Benteke and Firmino) who were supposed to solve this problem.

As it stands, our points per game average is a woeful 0.44 per game, our goals per game average currently stands at 0.66 per game and our goals conceded average is currently 1.17 per game. If we were to continue in this vein until the end of the season, we would finish on 23 points, scoring a total of 25 goals and conceding 44. Whilst I appreciate this is unlikely, I think it just gives a further indication of how bad we actually are under Rodgers.

We've had bad seasons over the last 20 odd years, but there was always a silver lining. We generally improved the seasons after until things started to slip and then managers heads rolled. We were more ruthless with our managers then because the expectation was high. Souness, Evans, Houllier, Rafa... they all got the bullet for finishing outside the top 5.

That's the difference between us then (regular CL football) and us now (accepting this mediocrity and one CL qualification in 6 seasons [soon to be 7]). This wouldn't be accepted by Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal or City and thats why they are now the 'Big 4'. A large portion of Arsenal fans want Wenger out for not winning the league in the last 10 years. There are already rumours rumbling about Mourinho after a poor start. Pelligrini was lucky to keep his job after finishing second. Us? We look back at 2nd two years ago like we look back at the glory years. Thats not good enough. We need to demand a change in the culture and expectations at the club.

top post mate. The level of expectation definitely has dropped. We look in different directions these days. The last few years have been a huge reality check for LFC and the supporters. It really has been a big come down.

It's up to FSG to decide where exactly they want the club to go, that's if they actually have a long term goal to stay here and compete. This season is a great opportunity to get back into the Champs League through an open premier league & a very doable Europa League, if we actually take this competition seriously... which we should! Under Rodgers I feel he thinks we are too good for this competition, well that's the impressive I've got from his team selections in the Europa. Sevilla have benefitted massively as a club and financially from going all out in this competition. **** the league cup and fa cup, put all our eggs into the league and the europa league.

If we stop the rot now, let Rodgers go and get new blood in we could very well push up the table with so many other clubs looking ropey. The top teams have got a bit worse and the fringe teams have got better. Rodger's has had his chance and it didn't work out, we need another manager that can get the players to respond. A manager's job is to get the best out of the players under him, if he is not doing that... well then he is not doing his job properly. That's the crux of it.

The level of desire and work rate has been absolutely atrocious for well over a year now. This slow, lethargic unbalanced mess is not acceptable at Liverpool F.C. Another thing, I don't actually remember LFC ever having no marquee players in their side. Coutinho is the closest thing we have & we are delusional if we think a player with that quality won't look to go to a team that is challenging for things.

Until Rodgers leaves I don't really have any interest in what we are doing. I feel that it is prolonging the inevitable keeping him on. Even under Hodgson I didn't feel this low about LFC. Hodgson was a tool but he spent next to nothing in comparison to Rodgers and i'd imagine their win ratio is pretty similar. The young manager experiment did not work, even with the 13-14 season we all knew we over achieved. We need an established manager that can attract established quality players. It's all well and good getting these young players in for the future but we have no ****ing leaders on the pitch anymore. Everyone is looking around for someone else to do something. And when they look to the dug out, they see Rodgers... who hasn't got a clue how to set the team up & how to play the players he has bought. It's crazy stuff, I can't believe it's come to this to be honest.

just bring in klopp and be done with it man...

Say we do bring in Klopp, what happens to the backroom staff? We can't sack them 2 months in. What happened to Klopp's backroom staff when he left Dortmund? Does he have a trusted number 2 he'd want to bring? Would he want to work with them? Would they want to work with him? In a way I admire FSG for keeping a cool head in the summer and backing their man, but the way the fans are at the moment I just don't see a way back for him. It's all a bit of a mess.

Whilst both of these posts are a bit OTT, I did find myself nodding along with much of it. Or sighing, wistfully

Yeah it does sound a bit Ott but we've all been fed the same bull**** from Rodgers for over a year now. It's excuse after excuse and nothing is changing and it is getting worse. The guys like the black knight out of Monty python. Get his legs and arms chopped off and comes out with "Tis but a flesh wound"

Also what are these rumours going about that Rodgers want to loan Origi out in January? Is he going to be another player we waste money on who Rodgers ruins?

                        January 22nd 2015:
Brendan Rodgers is predicting Liverpool will be title challengers again next season as he sees his young squad come of age.
Rodgers insists this campaign was always going to be transitional, but has seen enough to convince him his squad will have significantly improved over the next six months to go head-to-head with Chelsea and Manchester City.
“The reality was, with so many changes, we were not going to win the league this season. I believe we will be ready to challenge for the title next year,” said Rodgers.
“This year was about targeting the top four and the cups. I think this squad has Premier League-winning capabilities. We have young players who can grow together. A win in the cup would provide greater stimulus. You need ready-made quality as well, but this was the year for players to adapt and settle. Come the summer, the period of integration will be complete and then we can compete like we did last year for the title.”

Spain? Ok that didn't go great but still won the Copa del Ray.

The Eredivisie isn't exactly a backwater.

He's also managed in the Champions League with several clubs.

Now he's saying pretty much the same thing again. He's spent another £80m this summer and is already rolling out the "time to gel" excuse and the need to rebuild after spending £300m.

He's buying players, not using them correctly then loaning them out and we make a massive loss. He's so reckless with money its unbelievable.

He'll be blagging himself out of trouble until someone axes him. He's coming across as a bull****ter, always with a reply ready to explain, excuse and buy more time.

He really talks too much. It's embarrassing...and not yet knowing what formation to use is what makes me wanting a change right now! Not November...not next week, but now!
There's no way he can turn this around and how he got the support to continue is as worrying.
